Here are some more of my nostalgic works. I think the first drawing is something I drew for a drug awareness campaign in my high school. I remember it didn’t go through with the board and they said something like “This is good BUT it’s not something we are looking for, sorry Vlad”.

Chris Pastras was one of my fave skaters back in the day. In here he skates the streets of New York unaware of dangers coming.

I will be a happy man…check this out.
I dug up some of early 90’s work of my interpretation of west coast skate scene.
I was 14 and barelly spoke english and around that time I was really inspired by skate vids and mags that documented the scene on the west coast.

new works

27Sep07

Lately I have been painting a lot of new stuff, spending lots of cash on supplies and surfaces, hating the painting and going over it, etc…Few of these new pieces will be in an art show in Scratch gallery up by St. Clair and Bathrurst.
Here is a lil’ preview
(oh and I have been working on fangs, beasts and killers)

I forgot to mention “they” constructed a mesh wire on my balcony to prevent those killer pigeons in Parkdale. I feel like I am in prison but at least I wont have to defend my self from pigeons.

Yesterday I ran into the prettiest man, after me, in my hood.
ladyman
After I saw him I ran home in a rush to practice Thai Chi(is that the correct name?) in order to stay prettier than him. I was actually explaining child birth to my girlfriend.

And also I have some new pieces I am currently working on ( thank god summer is almost over).

FOLLIES!

24Aug07

taken from HERE

Serbs and Italians can be vicious people. Add alcohol, a love for decades of decadence, debauchery, drugs, sex and cartoons…and you get the FUCT Follies! Erik Brunetti & everyones favorite Crip Walkin’ Serb, Vladimir Kato, Have teamed up once again to rub the world the wrong way with this new FUCT design, aptly titled; FUCT FOLLIES. During a recent press interview Mr. Brunetti was quoted saying, “I did not get into this business to make friends, I have plenty…I can count them all on one hand.” During the Toronto Film Festival, where Vladimir Kato was spotted shopping a deal of the animated feature for the FUCT Follies, he was explaining; “great things happen when two friends get together and drink absinth, I don’t understand why Hollywood won’t back this cartoon, it’s got everything, drugs, sex, nazi’s, naked women, gangstas, more naked women, naked women dressed as bunny rabbits…etc”…Well, I guess the t-shirt will have to do for now.

I drew this in 1992 after seeing “White men can’t jump”.
I was around 11/12 years old and living in Europe at that time. Serbia is no different, basketball courts everywhere and the ball game reigns supreme. The rest of Europe is too short for it;)

When I was young, about 10 years old, my best friend Jovan and I contemplated stealing candy because the corner store clerk had lazy eyes and we couldn’t figure out if he was looking at us or reading Borba (Serbian political newspaper).

My neighbours

Well, not exactly my neighbours but its a sketch of how a majority of young happy campers, in my building I live in, are hip hoppers. They refer to me as “Big Guy”.
